Jill Bernard's Small Cute Book of Improv

I moved recently and am in the middle of unpacking. This morning I opened up a box of books and found a small, cute one by Jill Bernard. Also known as the VAPAPO book, Small Cute Book of Improv is a quick read that’s packed with techniques, exercises, and perspectives interspersed among cute drawings.

Of course, with a book this small, I went ahead and reread it. There were the familiar sections like The Sinewave of Suck and The N’Sync Principle, but on this read, I discovered a line in the section The Best Improviser in the World that I must have missed on previous reads. I’m going to quote it out of context because I can: “Maybe TJ just sneezed.”

Jill is going to be one of the instructors at Camp Improv Utopia East next month. I’m looking forward to sharing more about her perspective then.
