Stretch and Share

I got some news earlier in the week about a family member’s health, and it was just before a practice. I kept the information to myself, and except for the few times I was in a scene, I wasn’t able to focus on what other people were saying.

It was still on my mind when I went to a different practice yesterday. Then our coach suggested that we warm up by each doing a stretch and sharing something from our week. While I prefer sharing positive things from my week, keeping this information bottled up just wasn’t working for me, so I decided to go first and share the information. I felt lighter after sharing, and everyone after me had good news, so we went into the rest of practice on a positive note.

And the practice was so much fun! I think we’re really close to resolving some of the challenges with our experimental opening.
